Don’t let your won’t power overcome your will power! ~ Jussta Thought ~ Excerpt from Miracles From The Fire How often do we allow our ‘won’t’ or ‘can’t’ power to overcome our will power? I would imagine more often than any of us are willing to admit. There is an exercise which involves asking someone to pick up a cup. Of course, the person picks up the cup. This is an exercise to prove the point either we do, or we don’t, that here is no such thing as try. So we can then delete ‘try’ from our vocabulary. Yet, how many times do we say the words, “I can’t!” When you probably mean, “I choose not to.” How we phrase things is more important than we realize. Our words sink into our subconscious like a sponge. Without knowing it, you are programming your life and your actions. Think of the phrase, “I am.” An excellent exercise is to either speak or write down “I am”, followed by what you normally say. Think about how you have described yourself, your state of affairs. Do any of those phrases include, “I am sick. I am tired. I am exhausted. I am poor. I am not capable. I am old. I am too young? The month of December is the time for Christmas, Kwanza, or other religious or spiritual holidays. The holidays often bring on stress; many become depressed because they are alone, or have regrets, instead of focusing on the good. Instead, we can celebrate the month of December by participating in serving food at a food kitchen, donating clothing, visiting those in the hospital that have no one to visit them, or visit an elderly neighbor just to say hello. If we commercialize Christmas by focusing on buying gifts, or who is giving a gift worth more money than the other person; instead, think about offering Certificates. Offer a certificate to a friend for a massage session, to wash their car, to babysit, to pet sit or to walk their pet for a certain period of time. Consider your unique talents or abilities as a gift and share it generously at this time. Possibly, a friend or relative needs computer tutoring, or they have a new tablet that they do not understand. Give them a certificate for computer tutoring for so many hours over six months. We place stress on ourselves during the holiday season because we over-reach, over-spend, and drain our energy trying to be the best, or better than anyone else. We seek perfection in buying the exact, perfect gift for everyone on our list and wrapping it beautifully. We spend hours shopping, decorating, cooking, and baking discovering that we are exhausted when it come to the time to actually celebrate. If we change our focus, we can realize that Christmas is about love, kindness, charity, thoughtfulness, peace, and goodwill. Christmas is a time to create traditions or follow previous traditions. It is our choice. We must choose wisely for we know not what example we are teaching. I shudder at the thought of Black Friday sales and the day after Christmas sales where crowds stampede to purchase something that they will tire of rather quickly. Consider creating a new tradition for not only Christmas but for New Year’s Eve. At the next family gathering, share with one another a specific time in the past year that was special to each of you. Last New Year’s, I began a new tradition for myself. I created a ‘Gratitude Container’. Each night, before going to sleep, I write what I am happy and grateful for that specific day. I have not missed one night of adding my happiness and gratitude to my container. I do not believe I ever duplicated what I was happy or grateful for that day. Now, I can hardly wait until New Year’s Eve, or New Year morning to empty the container and read each and every one of these slips of paper! This will remind me of specific events or things I have done each and every day of the past year. Then I will begin anew in 2015. I highly recommend this tradition for you, your family and friends. What we are grateful for multiplies. We realize what little things can make us happy. We can easily forget what made us happy, or what we were grateful for by choosing to focus on what we did not have or accomplish in the past year. I have written my memoirs in separate books. I wrote one of them while on tour in Australia. I had not read it since I wrote it back in the 1990s. I only read it because I happened to give spiral-bound copies to several friends. I was taken back by their comments about this memoir that it was “inspiring, full of wisdom and intelligence.” So I sat down and read my own memoir. It surprised me! I consciously channeled the entire tour at each workshop, seminar, or event, and even writing this memoir. I am so happy I wrote it back then because I could never have recalled the miracles, synchronicity and my conscious channeling now. After reading it, I realized that the wisdom, intelligence, and exercises I conducted for enlightenment and transformation were timeless. I knew Great Mystery and the White Light wanted me to share it with the world to assist others in their own spiritual growth and transformation. I have spent hundreds of hours formatting ‘Miracles’ about my two-year Australian Firewalking Tour, entitled, Miracles From The Fire – Journey Of A Soul – Part III. I had to learn so much because I had written this memoir in very old software and the formatting was extremely challenging. Often, I did not think I could go on. But then I kept recalling one of the sentences in ‘Miracles’ which is the quote above, “Don’t let your won’t power overcome your will power!” Miracles From The Fire is now available in paperback and in Kindle on www.amazon.com. The Kindle version includes 66 photographs. I would appreciate reader’s reviews. My point is this; we each need to make a choice of how we will spend our time each and every day of the year. See the New Year of 2015 as a clean slate. This is a time for you to focus on what is most important to you, and decide to nurture yourself and then your loved ones. Remember, your presence is a gift like no other, a most precious gift! Never doubt that. This is the time to choose whether your ‘won’t power’ will overcome your ‘will power’. Choose well. Choose happiness and contentment, choose love and kindness, and choose charity and compassion. Choose peace and harmony. You can never go wrong, and you will always be right! My Christmas and New Year wish for each of you is a memorable holiday season in whatever religion or spiritual practice you follow. © 2014 Jussta All Rights Reserved ]]>
