This month’s volunteer is Cheryl. She submitted 4 photos for me to read, without any specific questions. This photo is telling me that Mom lives for her daughters and is very concerned about them. She feels hurt and almost betrayed that her oldest daughter chose to move in with her father. She truly wonders what effects this will have on her younger daughter. I feel that the boyfriend is set in his ways and things are the way he likes them. I’m seeing 2 more children around him – a boy and a girl. I believe they are his children. At the time this photo was taken, I feel the oldest daughter’s life was in a major transition. I’m hearing, “she wanted a real family.” I see a lot of arguments and disagreements with Mom. I’m being shown the youngest daughter painting. She also loves to read. There is a grey cat around the youngest daughter. From this picture, I can see that the oldest daughter has come out of her shell and is excited about college. I believe she is involved in activities at school – I heard the word, “debate.” She loves animals and I think has thought of becoming a vegetarian. I feel that she misses her sister.       The youngest daughter is very creative and I see her always working on some kind of project. She is intelligent and good grades come easy to her. I think that she enjoys being ‘seen’ by Dad. She feels he takes an interest in her. She understands more than she gets credit for and I feel that she’s somewhat of an ‘old soul.’       Mom’s energy in this picture is showing me that fear of loss makes her hold on very tightly to people and relationships. I feel a need for control, again this is rooted in fear. I feel the boyfriend does not have any intention of changing the dynamics of the relationship with Mom. He is content with the way things are.
