Feng Shui is not only for improving the Qi (energy) of your home or business, it can also be used to assist with your family dynamics and associates, all of which can help to transform your life.
Having the opportunity to speak with Anita on my radio show proved to be a wealth of knowledge. Not to mention, she has a wonderful authentic shop on her website filled with valuable enhancements to assist you in improving your luck. I just had to purchase a Ganesh and RuYi to help with my own business luck. Let me tell you, it works!
I obtained a copy of Anita’s book Practical Magic & Household Luck and was truly amazed at the amount of helpful information packed into one book. It was so beneficial in helping me to know what items are best for me to use in enhancing my ‘man luck.’ I can now take charge of my chances for better luck feeling confident in strengthening my opportunities in life.
In Anita’s book, she first explains the Cosmic Trinity of Chinese Metaphysics. We have Heaven Luck, (Chinese Astrology) Earth Luck, (Feng Shui) and Man Luck (Action). When all three of these are in balance, your luck flows. Anita shares the many different tools that can be used for anyone who is seeking to better their lives.
For example, many years ago I purchased a Lucky Cat with the right paw raised in a greeting. The Lucky Cat is placed at the entrance of a business to bring in new business and keep out undesirable customers. However, what I didn’t know was that Lucky Cats come in pairs. One with the right paw raised, and another with the left paw raised. In her book, I learned that the right paw raised wards off wicked spirits and evil customers, while the left paw raised attracts good fortune. Although my Lucky Cat was doing a great job of warding off undesirable clients, I was missing out on the good fortune part of my endeavors. So, now I want to purchase the left paw counterpart to my pair for added benefit to my business success. In addition, I didn’t know I was supposed to feed my little lucky kitty. What a bad mom I am! I learned from Anita’s book that you are to feed them with prayers and coins. I certainly hope my Lucky Cat is a forgiving cat and will allow me to make amends while I work toward ‘fattening’ him up with love, prayers and yes, coins of thanks.
Another helpful tidbit I learned in Anita’s book was the Money Toad. I actually have several of them placed on the floor at the front entrance of my home in the foyer, in my office entrance and at our back door. The Money Toad is used to attract abundance and wealth. They are usually placed near cash registers, desks, and in the office. It is said, they not only bring in wealth, but also protect it. These mythical creatures have three legs, stand upon a pile of gold ingots and jewels, and hold an I Ching coin in their mouth.
Anita states in her book, “The coin contains Yin and Yang and represents wealth. The Yang side has four Chinese characters while the Yin side has two. It is said the Yang side should be face up to attract money.”
So I quickly went to check my coins to insure they were displayed correctly within the toad’s mouth. To my surprise, the coins were missing! It seems my grandbabies found the value in those coins. In addition, Anita also instructed that the toads were not to be placed on the floor, (oops again) and when placing your toad, it should be facing inward to hold in your good luck while you are home, and upon leaving you are to turn them outward for protection. I certainly did not know that! So, I will be purchasing a new Money Toad and will make sure he is displayed where he enjoys sharing his benefit… on my desk!
Nestled within this book you will also find a crystal directory that helps you select the best gemstone for your needs. Perhaps you’ll need several, as I discovered, to help enhance your luck and prosperity. Anita also offers help in understanding the many deities such as Buddha, Ganesh, and Quan Yin and the energy they bring. You will also learn what to look for when selecting the right one for you.
Perhaps you are a lover of incense to help raise the vibration of your environment. Anita discusses the various scents and their purpose to meet anyone’s need.
Now, if you are like me, I am a huge candle lover. One can never have too many candles! But what I didn’t realize was the color of the candle comes with its own purpose; green for abundance, orange for attraction or gold for financial gain, to name just a few. Anita talks about her own signature collection of candles that are filled with magical intent such as her God and Goddess collection, house blessing, house selling, and her prosperity collection. I never knew there was so much more to a candle than just lighting it for ambiance.
Anita also covers a section on Shrines and what goes into building one based on your purpose and intent. Anita demonstrated how easy and unobtrusive a shrine could be. And no one need know that it is a shrine; they will just see what great decorating sense you have.
Practical Magic & Household Luck is definitely a book I would highly recommend to anyone who is interested in enhancing their life and business success. The helpful tips and hints are easy to apply using basic Feng Shui principles and tools. To learn more about Anita Rosenberg, or to purchase her book visit her website at www.anitarosenberg.com.
