It’s been exactly 2 months since I began my weight loss journey on July 14th and I have learned so much about eating healthy, nutritious meals that allow for not just the loss of pounds, but more so, the loss of inches. I never realized that eating such amazingly tasty meals, that truly do not feel like a diet at all, could result in such a huge change in my body. As of one week ago, I have lost a total of 17 pounds and 9 ¼ inches. At first, my instinct was to feel discouraged. I wanted this weight gone in a hurry. It just wasn’t falling off fast enough. Then, I began seeing a change in how my clothes fit. When I first began this meal plan I was wearing a size 26 in jeans and a 3X to 4X in my tops. As of today, I am wearing a size 22 in jeans and a 1X to 2X in tops. It blows my mind! How could just 17 pounds and just over 9 inches make that much of a difference? I’m down two sizes! The answer for me is Healing! The difference is, since beginning the Trim Healthy Mama Meal Plan, my body is healing itself from years of chemical laden, over processed, unhealthy foods. Sometimes, it takes longer to undo all of the harm that has been inflicted on the body by poor eating habits, and sometimes skipping meals completely. It takes time for the body to realize that it can actually function as it was designed to do with ease and comfort. The digestive tract begins to heal, the organs begin to do their job as they were designed to do with ease, the brain and cognitive abilities are less foggy, and certain medical conditions no longer become an issue. I tell you, I can definitely feel the difference in my own body and energy. My joints don’t ache as much as they used to, especially my knees. I have so much more energy to do the tasks I need to do around the house, such as clean, mop, vacuum, you know, general household duties. Not to mention, I can actually bend over a whole lot easier, and even stoop down to pick something up, and get back up again. Now, that is amazing for me! I never thought I would get so excited over being able to put on my socks and shoes without straining or becoming breathless. And, I can even cross my legs now with comfort! Okay, so I entertain cheap, but these feats are progress for me. Another huge difference I have felt is the change in my mood. It’s like my endorphins are feeling happier so therefore I am happier. Sounds crazy, I know, but I don’t let the small stuff stress me anymore. Maybe it’s because I’m now able to think with a clear mind and easily ‘see’ solutions. Whatever the reason, this meal plan is certainly doing the trick for me. You can definitely see the difference in my face.
