Each month readers entrust me with their problems. Working side by side with my spiritual guide I always do my best to provide guidance to enlighten, soothe and comfort the readers of Bellesprit magazine.
This month I have received messages from four readers seeking help.
Dear Agony Aunt,
My issue is this; my son sees spirits but I don’t know how to guide or help him. I am unemployed and he works part time. So many resources cost money. Where does one reach for help?
Ruth, California USA.
Dear Ruth,
It’s so true that money is so often a problem but this need not stop your son from developing his spiritual gifts. Here at Bellesprit magazine the columnists write about all aspects of spirituality and it’s totally free to read.
I offer a monthly meditation that is easy to follow. Why not give it a try? Meditation is a key to developing this side of your son and is also a great way to switch off from the outside world!
Try to locate a local circle of spiritual people who hopefully don’t charge too much to take part. I hear that some libraries provide this service.
If he would like to message me I am happy to help him get started and would love to hear his feedback from the meditation.
Best wishes,
Elaine
Dear Agony Aunt.
I’ve been working with the same company for nine years. I love what I do and am respected in the industry.
Over the last few years there have been staff changes including management. Many are unable to do their jobs and complain that they have too much. I have become the go-to and trainer even for my own boss who admits he wishes he had more backbone dealing with people. I’m finding this stressful and frustrating to see a business I helped grow lost to competitors due to inefficiency. Nothing better has presented itself so I don’t see myself leaving.
What can I do?
Kim.
Dear Kim.
Your confidence shines out as I read your question and your company is lucky to have you. I also feel your frustration at being stuck in a rut. Your work may be following a parallel to your private life. Do you find yourself held back in other areas of your life?
You deserve recognition and reward for your efforts but seem to be carrying others when they should be working things out for themselves. You take on the responsibility and hard work and they get the rewards.
Look back into your early life and see if this has been an ongoing pattern. Did you have to selflessly support or carry another? Were you expected never to complain or expect a reward?
By covering your bosses’ failings you are not allowing him to learn and progress. Try using the mantra “I am a strong capable person who deserves to be rewarded.”
It’s time for you to shine now and receive all the good things owing to you.
Good luck!
Elaine
Dear Agony Aunt,
Why did my eighteen year old great nephew hang himself? There was no note, explanation or any known signs. He had everything going for him, wasn’t doing drugs and rarely drank. He was liked and loved by everyone, very athletic and talented. Why? I am very bothered by this tragedy and hope you are able to give me some peace of mind.
Nicole
My dear Nicole,
My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and your family at this difficult time. I lost my own mother suddenly and know from my heart how shocking and tragic this is.
Your great nephew knew he was loved and appreciates everyone’s concern and sadness over his passing. When a soul passes over to the spirit world we mourn them here on Earth. On the other side a celebration takes place, much the same as the birth of a baby. The soul part of us reincarnates through lifetimes for the purpose of spiritual growth. This entails learning pre-chosen lessons with a soul family. By choosing this path your loved one has assisted other family members and friends to learn something valuable. The process of mourning and grief has allowed them the opportunity to clear emotional issues and so fulfill their spiritual task.
May I suggest a great book to help? “Your Souls Plan” by Robert Schwartz.
In the March issue of Bellesprit the topic for my Therapy Insights page will be about dealing with bereavement. I hope by reading it you may get more comfort.
Much love to you and your family.

Dear Agony Aunt,
We have a very bad situation in our house with spirit activity. My partner hears them and feels afraid. Also our nineteen month old baby son is disturbed during the night.
What can we do?
Amy, Cornwall, UK.
Dear Amy,
I’m sorry to hear about the disturbances within your home. My guide tells me that these spirits have been around for a long time and feed off negativity and anger. So, if you or your partner argue, get down in the dumps, or are afraid then the activity will increase. If you become positive and cheerful the activity will slow down. Entities will also feed from your energy and cause negative vibes and lower your mood.
By taking control and showing who is boss the activity will cease. Try to cleanse the area by filling a bowl with water, visualise a beautiful rainbow of healing colours going into it. If you have any, pop a few drops of Frankincense oil into it, or burn a frankincense stick. Say a prayer over the water and ask for help to cleanse the home. Flick the water around the house while you think positive thoughts and ask for the cleansing of each room. Make it clear that you are not prepared to put up with this anymore.
Good luck!
Elaine
