Ascension Tips: Healthy Aura, Healthy You Your aura is your energy field around you. It is really important to keep it healthy and full of good energy so that you will feel healthy and full of energy. Under normal circumstances, it should be about one to two feet out from your body and full of bright light. The main color of the aura varies from person to person. Sickness starts in the aura and works its way into the body. That’s why it is really important to pay attention to your aura—even if you cannot feel it or see it yourself. That last part is really important. I learned that I had an aura long before I had any sense of it. As an energy healer, I have often felt people’s distress out in their aura and have been able to move the energy of it to help them feel better. It’s important to do some basic upkeep daily to make sure that the aura—and you—stay healthy. You don’t need to do all of these each day, but make sure you are doing something. Here are some things to try:
- Act in integrity. Wait! What? This is a tip for keeping the aura healthy!? Yes. When you are acting out of integrity, you are out of alignment with Source and things will feel off. Any time you have that feeling of being out of whack, that is actually your energy that you are feeling. You can begin to know the state of your aura just by tuning in to how you feel. Acting in a way that does not align with who you really are and what you really believe will throw your energy off. This even goes for your thoughts. They, too, must be in alignment with higher good.
- Be in a state of love and compassion. Love and compassion are high vibrations. They feel very good and keep your aura strong and glowing. Practice dropping your consciousness from your head, where it probably spends the majority of the time, down into your heart. Feel the heaviness in your head, take a deep breath, and imagine it dropping into your heart. You will feel a heaviness now in your heart. That’s good. For most, it will pop right back up into your head. With time and practice, you can learn to keep it in your heart area at the center of your chest for longer and longer periods of time. You will find that you act and react differently when you operate out of your heart.
- Address your issues. Any issue that you have—anger, fear, worry, guilt, shame, etc.—will mess with your overall vibration and health. You can tell you have not fully healed from a situation if you can think about it and feel it in your body. What you feel in your body is the energy that is still stuck. Deal with these issues head on with the appropriate person. Sometimes it will mean dealing with the person you had the original encounter with. Sometimes it will mean working with a counselor, friend or energy worker.
- Have balance in your life. A frantic lifestyle means chaotic energy. Look for ways to slow down. Look for ways to bring joy and purpose into your life. Do what’s important, but also do what’s fun. Better still, look for ways to make the important things fun. Look at the things you are doing. Ask yourself why you are doing them. If it’s not for the right reasons, then you may want to change what you are doing.
- Meditation puts your body and energy field in a relaxed state that allows the energy to flow. Energy that is dense and stuck is able to break up and lighter energy can move in to fill the space. When your body won’t stop moving or emotions keep arising and it just feels too uncomfortable to continue to sit, continue to sit! That is when the physical and emotional energies are coming up to clear. Attempt to sit through it, because that is when you are doing some really great work. Your body and your aura are clearing. There are many techniques to help you evolve on the spiritual path and to maintain health, but for me, meditation is one of the best.
- Breathe and visualize. The breath is a powerful force for moving energy in the body and through the aura. Breathe in deeply. Imagine you are breathing the energy down from a white light far above your head. See the energy coming down through the top of your head and into your heart chakra at the center of your chest. With each breath, let the energy build at your heart. Once you have anchored it there, use the next set of breaths to push it out into your aura. Imagine the white light swirling through your aura and strengthening it. Allow it to change into another color if that’s what it does. Breathe enough light into it so that it sits one to two feet from your body in both directions. Rest here and feel the strength and peace.
- Repair tears and holes in the aura. Continue the exercise above and see the aura in your mind’s eye. Don’t worry if you think you are simply making things up. Just go with it. Sense whether there are any holes or tears or dark spots. Do what is needed. You can sew up the tears, or just swipe over them in your imagination if that works. Use an imaginary cloth to wipe any smudges if you like. There. A nice, beautiful, strong aura!
