You have a core within, the part that is really who you are, that is powerful, loving, compassionate, good and beautiful. You are not what you have or have not done. You are not what you do or do not possess. You are not who society or family thinks you are. In fact, you are probably not even who you think you are. You are so much more.
A few years ago, a friend paid me one of the best compliments I have ever received. Among a group of friends, she said, “Wendy sees me for who I really am and for all I’m capable of—not how I see myself as or as other people see me.”
She was right. Even in that moment, I felt and saw the beauty of her soul and all the abilities she possessed. Although she was outwardly beautiful to begin with, this inner radiating beauty enhanced her outer features.
We All Have It
Just walking down a busy street, among total strangers, I see within each person their deep beauty, amazing love and great potential. I know that what I see doesn’t always match their words or behavior, but it is awesome to be able to see who we could be if only we allowed ourselves.
Of all the changes I’ve experienced going through this ascension, our evolution if you will, this one is probably the most profound for me because it allows me to see where humanity could head if we could just get our act together. If everyone could act from this pure core, the world would be a vastly different place.
I have never met someone in whom I did not see this soul beauty. The comfort, I believe, that can be taken from this is that it is in you, too. Even on your worst days, even when you are depressed and don’t feel like getting out of bed, this potential is within you just waiting to be tapped.
I say that I can “see” this soul quality within a person, because that’s the best way I know how to describe what’s going on. I partly feel it, partly see it and partly know it, yet it feels like it’s beyond all of those. It’s kind of like recognizing a long lost friend. I feel a recognition, a warmth, and I want to smile and want to give them a big hug.
The Spark Arises
The ability began to unfold through meditation. I became aware of it slowly, over time. It grew as I learned new healing techniques and gained more direct access to this Divinity in myself. I first saw my own true self in a Dysfunctional Core Belief Release session that I received as part of my training in that technique. It initially appeared in my mind’s eye as Gollum, the scrawny little guy in J.R.R Tolkien’s Hobbit movies.
Our subconscious is so funny as it finds these ways to reveal things to us. Gollum was what my Spark was like when covered with my negative core beliefs. As we worked together, this fellow healing student and I, to release the energy of the core beliefs, the image began to change. Now, in my mind’s eye, there was a pile of dirt that began to tremble as something began to push up from below. I saw something shine brilliantly from the pile as it continued to rise. Fully out of the dirt now, I could tell it was an enormous glittering diamond.
Along with this image, I could feel the strength and assuredness of my own core. I could feel my Divinity—who we all really are with all of our negativity and self-imposed limitations stripped away. It changed me. I could never again shrink away from my purpose or call myself “less than.” Well, I suppose I could—we all have free-will—but I would know it was a lie.
I have had the privilege of being present during many healing sessions when someone’s Divine Spark, their true self, has been revealed to them. It’s an awesome feeling (I’m blessed to feel it, too!). I remind them that this is who they really are. I encourage them to really feel it, to sink into the feeling, and let the energy flow through every cell of their body, so that when they go back out into the world and start to doubt and forget who they really are, they can tap back into this knowing of their true self.
This phenomenon of seeing the inner Divinity is not unique to me. It appears to be universal to all who raise their vibration and progress on the spiritual path. Another added “bonus” to doing the work is that Nature, too, looks more beautiful. I often stop in my tracks at the beauty of the clouds or of a winter leafless tree silhouetted against the blue sky.
Hope For the Future
After experiencing this Divine Spark and seeing it within everyone, I have more hope for our future as human beings. I am hopeful that as more of us recognize its presence and learn to operate from that true aspect of ourselves, and less from our wounds and perceived limitations, we will make better decisions about how we treat each other. How beautiful it will be when we can all reflect that potential back to each other. Better still will be when we can all remember it for ourselves.
To increase your ability to sense this Divine Spark within yourself and others, meditate more and engage in healing practices that will release old energetic debris and negative perceptions. Actively look for the Divinity in others. Look for their beauty, no matter how long or how deeply you have to look. Find the thing in them that you can love and watch, over time, as you see more and more there to love.
