What a time we are living in. It can seem to be that there is a loss of humanity, compassion, empathy, and overall love going around on this planet.

That is not the case though. We are living through a time where everything is coming to a head because there ARE people who care enough to make a positive difference in areas that they feel passionate about, and there are so many causes to feel passionate about. As a lightworker it can be very conflicting as we are trying to spread all the love and light that is within us, and that is what we feel our true purpose is in this lifetime. Along with that, we also seem to be drawn to helping others who may not be able to help themselves and that is where our activism may start to come in. It can be very tumultuous as so many people in this time are all about fighting “the other side”. I am here to tell you it does not have to be a fight, we can try to make positive changes in a positive way.
I have, for years, been an activist in an area that I hold dear to my heart. I have learned so much through the process of research and through the process of just trying to communicate and connect with people. It can be so hard to keep your cool when you are being attacked by someone with a different opinion than you. I have learned that these attacks are stemming from the other person feeling like they are not heard or understood. I try to respond in a way that gives them validation for their feelings so that they know that I am not against them, but for the betterment of humanity from my personal perspective. We always have to remember that we have no idea where another person’s perspective has grown from and trying to break that barrier is a wonderful way to open up the lines of communication.
As a lightworker, I am also very open to educating myself on anything I do not know about. If I come across someone with a differing opinion than I, then I try to learn from them to see if they may have some valuable insight and knowledge that I am not aware of. It is only by being open-minded that we will be able to see the entire picture. Living in our own little bubble will never solve anything, it will only perpetuate the ideals of not trying to understand all the other people in this huge world we live in. By living in the energy of being aware and open to others ideas, we are in fact using our lightwork in a positive way to show compassion and respect to others views. This is what lightwork is about and when we are actively incorporating our lightwork into our activism, it will feel lighter to you energetically as well.
As you feel drawn to speak out about an injustice or issue that speaks to you, know that there very well could be a cosmic reason as to why you feel so strongly about one issue over another. This could be part of your life purpose or social contract that you agreed to before coming into this life. You could have faced some similar issues in a past-life and that energy has stuck with you. You may still need to learn something in this life that you did not learn in a past life. There are many reasons why you as a lightworker are feeling drawn to be an activist in the first place. So, don’t let anyone tell you that what it is you are fighting for or against is a waste of time because no one besides you knows your soul and what you feel energetically pulled to do in this lifetime.
Over the years I have had numerous conversations with people who have the exact opposite opinions than I, some have turned out wonderful where we each have taken some new information away from the conversation that has enlightened and educated us even more. Some…. not so much lol! That’s ok! Because no matter the outcome of my activism I know that I am connecting with people in a way that I hope is leaving others with a sense of understanding, compassion, and love. That is what it all comes down to, and that is what we should all be fighting for in the long run.
