You are only as you think.
Our thoughts are powerful motivators. They can impact us either negatively or positively, depending on our outlook. Our perceptual insights, our innate mannerisms, and our environmental suggestions are all cohesive segments of the wholeness of who we are. Ultimately, it can create how we deal with our challenges.
It is life. And, life has a journey – good, bad or indifferent, as some would say. I suggest it is all an energetic field of experiences that surround us. And, it is only our perceptions that give us the attachment of good, or the stigma of bad or indifferent.
What if you are challenged by a diversity of experiences? Is it a challenge as mentioned; or, is it simply an experience that teaches us a lesson, all for soul growth?
It may not lessen the pain, anger, dismay, disappointment we feel. Feelings and emotions are rungs on a ladder; and, as we step up each rung, we get closer to the lightness, joy and love, and serenity. The more we release the feelings of dismay, etc., the closer we feel joy. It must happen in increments. Can you truly leap from extreme sadness to heightened joy?
I believe if one leaps so quickly, they truly never experience the full knowing and depth of their emotions. In the end, you only touch the surface, and inevitably you ‘sweep it under the rug’, so to speak.
I call this the awakening, to face one’s existence wholeheartedly with true certainty. The barrage of life lessons have brought me closer to understanding my life purpose.
One poignant, life changing event, as I call it, is a testimony to my perseverance. Her shortened name is MG, or rather Myasthenia Gravis. The term is derived from the Greek words: mus, meaning muscle, sthenos, meaning weakness, and the Latin word, gravis, meaning severe. By all accounts, MG whispers outwardly…. “I shall create grave muscle weakness; I shall distort your vision; I shall steal your breath; I shall diminish your capacity. These are only some of the things I shall do to you. I shall control your destiny!”
To respond to MG, I am more than the physical. My spirit shall guide me. I control my destiny with my thoughts. I am a powerful motivator, instrumental in the creation of a joyful life.
It is a conscious choice.
