This month’s dream is from a Mother who dreamed about her son that departed many years ago.
A couple of nights ago I had a dream. A very short back story. I lost my son many years ago, he drowned. He was on life support for a few days before we took him off. I am OK with his passing. I know he came to me the night that happened. Now for the dream:
Dream
He and I were at my parent’s cabin. A place we went to many times. It is along a river, but we weren’t near the river. We were behind the cabin. There was ankle deep water everywhere. We both saw a very colorful (rainbow colorful) Koi fish lying on its side. We picked it up and rescued it. (I have no idea where we put it, but we saved it.) Then we went into the cabin. There was ankle deep water there also. There we found a tadpole and rescued it too. That was the end of the dream. We didn’t talk in the dream we just knew what we were doing.
Interpretation
Intuitively, I am receiving that your dream was a visitation dream with lots of symbolism. Your son prefers actions as a way of communicating. I’m picking up psychically that this preference has increased since he’s been on the other side. With that, my guides added – he loves you very much, but you know that.
The cabin in the dream represents a homey place where you two connected for fun and you were behind the cabin because that phase of life is now behind you. While the water represents emotions and ankles are symbolic for moving forward. Although, I was guided to Louise Hay’s book, Heal Your Body, and according to her the meaning of ankles means receiving pleasure.
For the colorful Koi fish I’m getting the symbol’s meaning is the many different types of spirituality. When I think of the tadpole what comes to me is new life, new beginnings.
Now, the meaning of the dream could be twofold. First, even though you say that you’re okay with his passing – there’s still a small part of you that feels you could have rescued him or wished you could have saved him. Hence the saving of the Koi fish and tadpole and walking through water up to your ankle. If the water was to your knee or above that would represent more difficult levels of moving forward from his passing.
The second meaning, which psychically I’m receiving is the main meaning of the dream, is that your son is assisting you in your spirituality and life’s work (whatever that is for you). This will be on many multi-faceted levels, as well as incorporating different aspects of it. The going inside the cabin is for you to go within and rescue that deep part of you that is ready to bring forth whatever it is (you know) from birth, to infant, to toddler, to child, to teenager…
Because your son is with you for both meanings, he will be at your side (even though you don’t hear him) helping you along the path. Now, what’s really awesome is how I was guided to Louise Hay’s ankle meaning, because this is your son communicating that he wants you to have pleasure in your life, to enjoy life, and to allow your new path/spiritualty to bring you much joy! Again, he is always with you.
