Inspired writing is also called motivational writing. It is a guidance tool available to all of us. It is sometimes employed in an act of desperation, without awareness or intention. When utilized with awareness it becomes a teacher or guide leading us to the right questions and the right thinking. Those who discover its benefits report enjoying the experience and repeating the process frequently. It is a quick and gentle process I believe you will enjoy. First, find a quiet place to sit with your pad and pencil or pen. Some people use their keyboard but I prefer the paper and pen method, personally. If you have a specific concern or question, ask it clearly before you begin the following exercise. Relax your body and mind by breathing deeply a few times. The intention to relax completely will bring that to you. As you exhale, imagine your thoughts drifting up into the sky. If the sky is too far away for your comfort, place your thoughts into a container instead. Hold the vision of your thoughts being released until they have disappeared. Next, place your attention on your body and allow all the stress and tension to melt away, each breath taking you into a deeper state of peace and quiet. Then, engage your writing tools. Allow your hand to write freely, unencumbered by your knowledge or ideas. Fresh insights and understandings will come to you simply by inviting this process. You will get a stronger flow and pick up speed the more you practice doing it. The challenge is to permit the hand to write unfettered. Avoid the desire to edit and critique as you are receiving information. Those desires can be applied when the writing stops flowing. Let me know how you benefit from this, please. Setting time for this practice in your regular daily routine helps to improve the results. When we make a commitment to engage our spirit helpers regularly they have the opportunity to prepare for our joint projects. I have a humorous mental picture of 3 spirits sitting around a table, drumming their fingers just hanging out until we call upon them. Try making a schedule and follow it for just two weeks and you will understand what I mean. Inspired writing can be very personal; a method of healing ones wounds and scars. It can be used to help us process faulty thoughts and feelings. When applying your writing for self-healing, use the same process as described in this article and ask for the assistance of your healers to join you in revealing and resolving the issues you suffer with. It takes courage to allow these issues to be shown and managed. Inspired writing can also be a teaching instrument, bringing new insights and understandings. I consider philosophical topics to fit nicely in the teaching category. Are you willing to explore ideas, theories and philosophies? Can you venture into these untraveled paths and maintain the open mind and relaxed body called for? The insights are worthy of the effort. As a tool for futuristic insights, inspired writing has been applied by generations throughout the centuries. It can also help us reach back into the past when we search for lost or missing pieces of a life. It isn’t limited by anything but our willingness to inquire. My first experience with inspired writing came through as poetry. It was enjoyable at first, a unique experience for sure. I soon found myself beginning to speak in poetry and that was instantly annoying to me and those who were listening to it. I put a stop to it firmly. I set a boundary with my spirit guides differentiating between my private writings and my public speaking. They apparently understood me because it ended as quickly as it had begun. I like to revisit my writings sometimes. Years later, I find they still hold valuable information for me. Can I glean the wisdom gathered from the past to a current situation? Am I able to see my own growth and progress? Was there an actual prediction of something to come in a writing exercise? Keep your journals handy. I welcome your feedback on your experiences with this information. You can email me at jackielunger@gmail.com. I invite you to visit my website at your convenience www.psychicauthor.com Views:]]>
