Apple-Beet-Carrot Juice Now I want to share with you one of my absolute favorite juicing recipes – Apple-Beet-Carrot juice! I love this juice because it’s the perfect blend of sweet and tangy and it’s packed with 10,000+ phytonutrients, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and enzymes. The carrot juice is packed with minerals, especially calcium and magnesium which are great for your bones and healthy digestion. Carrot juice is also very cleansing for the liver and helps detoxify your body from toxic chemicals that we’re exposed to in the environment. Beets are full of iron and other nutrients that are great for tonifying your blood and cleansing your kidneys. Studies have shown that beets can also protect you against certain types of cancer, especially colon cancer. Apples are loaded with soluble fibers which are great for your digestion and cardiovascular health. The pectin in apples is also great at trigger satiety in your brain, meaning it makes you feel full – so it’s a great way to lose weight naturally as well (but don’t worry, because if you don’t need to lose weight, apples won’t hurt you!). Apples are also the only fruit juice you should mix with vegetables. Ready to juice? Ingredients: 1 Big Apple (or two small ones), quartered 1 Beet, quartered 3-4 Carrots cut into small enough pieces to fit in your juicer 1 small piece of ginger to taste 1/4 Whole Lemon (you can use the peel!) Directions: If you’re using a juicer, chop up the produce so it fits and juice away! If you don’t have a juicer and you want to try using your blender and a cheese cloth to strain it, just toss in the ingredients, blend it very well, and then strain out the fibrous parts using the cheese cloth. Make sure to drink your juice right away! If you let fresh squeezed juice sit out for a few hours, a lot of the antioxidants and nutrients will become oxidized and your body won’t get all the same benefits of fresh juice.
