Ascension Tips – March 2014
We are so much more powerful, so much more capable than we allow ourselves to be. We place such limits on ourselves. Some of these limits come from society, some from family and friends, and some from what we think experience has taught us.
Well-meaning friends and family often limit us because of their own fears. If you actually do something great, then they will be challenged to go outside their comfort zone and actually do something, too. That can be pretty scary. We prefer to maintain the status quo.
We place limits on both our “normal” abilities and on our “paranormal” abilities. In the “normal” realm, we don’t take that job because we might not be good enough, or we don’t write that book because it feels too big; we don’t take the risk to follow our dreams because it feels safer where we are right now.
We often have dreams that we don’t pursue because we can’t imagine how we could possibly pull it off. You don’t need to know how to make it happen. We are all masters at manifesting, if we will only allow ourselves to be. Put the idea out there. Write it down. Draw a picture of it. Know that you can create it. Know that Universal forces will align to assist you. Watch as the circumstances and people begin to show up to enable you to bring your dream into reality.
Most don’t even consider the possibility of pursuing their “paranormal” qualities, like the ability to be psychic, remote view, see ghosts, feel energy, communicate with angels, bilocate, or move objects without touching them, etc. But we are capable of these things.
Paranormal simply means that the experience is beyond the “normal” range of experience or beyond current scientific explanation. Paranormal experiences are becoming more commonplace though, with the changing energies of the ascension and with the changing mindset of people, which is beginning to break down and allow that maybe these things are possible. Through quantum physics, which allows us to understand time and the way particles and energy move, science is beginning to explain paranormal abilities.
Channel From Spirit
As I was going through the initial stages of my spiritual awakening, I began to experience things I never had before. I could sense things, know things and transmit healing through my hands. I realized that if these things were possible, there must be so much more we were capable of as well. At that point, Archangel Michael provided this channel to help me shed my perceived limits:
Go forth into your next step with the confidence of who you are. Fear not the unknown, for it is you that is writing the results. Take care of your worries and put them in a place of small consequence. Do not choose them as your destiny. You hold the power and therefore you decide. Do not fear tragedy for there is no need to experience tragedy to grow. You do not need negative experience to grow. Look to the other side for guidance, but recognize that your power is here, within you and all that you do.

Archangel Michael says that we are to have confidence in our own abilities. Spirit will assist, but we have all the power we need. We are not to be fearful or worry. There is no need to fear the future because we are choosing what it is. Choose wisely and choose boldly. As the band Rush wrote, “If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.” You are creating based on whatever it is that you are thinking. Even if it is wishy-washy. So look at your life and see what you have already chosen. Do you like it? If not, decide something different. Then stick to it with determination, even when it looks like you are not getting it. Don’t quit too soon. Tell Spirit: “This that I have in mind or more, this or better.”
What Thoughts Do You Hold?
Watch what you think. Watch every spoken word, too. What limits are you putting on yourself? The ascension energy is supporting quicker manifestation of our thoughts than in the past, so we need to be controlling our thoughts now more than ever. Keep them positive, focused and without limits.
I love this admonition from Lao-Tze: Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.
Create What You Desire
Consider making a list of the abilities or accomplishments that you would like to have in your life. Do not censor yourself. If you’d like to be psychic, but can’t imagine how that would happen for you, write it down anyway and try not to judge it. Feel as if you already are psychic.
If you want to open your dream business but don’t have the funds, write it down. Stay focused and look for the opportunities for education, support and funding to present themselves. Be open because the Universe often presents these opportunities in the craziest of ways. In fact, they often come through a failure.
Examine what you’ve learned up to this point in your life. Look at the perceived failures, but this time, view them as lessons. If you’ve always told yourself that you learned something negative through that experience, like you’re not good enough, change that up. There is something positive that you learned, too. You may have learned a way NOT to behave in a situation. You may have learned that you give up too quickly. Explore the past with an open mind.
Most people know the inspiring quote from Marianne Williamson about taking your own power. My favorite line from that is: Your playing small does not serve the world. You are here to serve the world in the way that only you can. Do it BIG! Imagine if we all played BIG, contributing the best of ourselves and not shrinking back. Imagine how different the world would be.
Many Christians try to follow the words of the Bible, but they hold Jesus out as special. It becomes almost blasphemous to think that you could do what he did. But even Jesus told us to hold no limits: Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in me will also do the works that I do: and greater works than these will he do. (John 14:12) I interpret these words not to mean that you have to believe in Jesus the man, per se, but believe in Christ Consciousness—that higher presence and true power that lives in all of us.
Break From the Collective Consciousness
We are all products of our societies, our cultures, our religions. As you explore your thoughts and beliefs, recognize those things that you believe because you have been taught to believe them. Consider whether you really believe them. Meditate on them and ask to be shown the truth.
Sometimes these collective beliefs can be such a part of you that you don’t even raise them to be considered. Explore everything. Do you really have to work hard to achieve things, does money really create unhappiness, or does love really always end in sadness? Challenge each belief you hold. In the end, you will likely keep some and toss others.
