“It is impossible to make anything foolproof because fools are so ingenious.” Author Unknown Lots of confusion happening on every level.  We are now in the shadow of Mercury Retrograde.  Mercury will turn Retrograde on June 7, 2014 at 7:57 a.m. PDT – but I am already witnessing it manifesting on so many levels.  For instance, I received a notification from an imaging medical company to create an account immediately on their patient portal.  “Hmmm, I thought.  Why would I want to do that?”  So I delayed, almost a week has passed, and just now I received another email from this same medical imaging company stating there was an error that every PAST and CURRENT patient received the email to create an account.  They now say NOT to create an account unless one is to have an appointment for a future imaging medical diagnosis. The other major event, was Ebay being hacked – 145 million users in jeopardy.  Interesting that the hack occurred last March, but Ebay only discovered it on May 21, 2014.  Ebay is now urging all their users to immediately change their passwords.  And another – although, caught and failed, hack of a major USA utility company – these are the signs of the times. The energy and miscommunications remind us to watch for the signs.  Pay attention.  Be prudent, do not open any email from anyone you do not recognize.  Seems like the latest phishing emails now have a Re: in the subject line, as though the sender is responding to your email – without your subject line!  This is a sign to delete the email definitely without opening it.  Also look at the sender’s email address which may be different from your friends – as in ending in .ru, which is actually Russia – or any other country outside of where you live.  I have also been receiving emails from FAX CENTER with an attachment.  Another DO NOT OPEN, DELETE.  If someone has sent you a FAX and you do not respond, well, they must also have your telephone number, right?  Right!  Oh, and another attempt at phishing or inserting malware into my computer was an email supposedly from one of my credit card companies announcing in the subject line they were sending me a new credit card.  “Why?”  I wondered.  So instead of opening this email which spelled my name incorrectly – I telephoned this particular credit card company and asked them.  The agent replied, “No, not from us.”  DELETE! So, maybe none of us are really ready for Mercury Retrograde.  We can be if we realize that ‘for everything, there is a season’ and Mercury Retrograde is NOT the time to travel, sign leases, make major purchases such as a car or furniture.  It is NOT the best time, but if you have no choice, do it and realize maybe it is completing something you intended to do from the past. “Everything takes longer than you think.” Author Unknown Mercury Retrograde has many good vibrations.  For instance, a great time to clean out your closets, drawers, pantry, and garage and donate or sell items that no longer serve you and would be appreciated by others. Mercury Retrograde is also an excellent time to review previous plans and ideas and to improve on them or bring them to a conclusion – but wait to act on them until Mercury goes direct which this time is actually, July 1, 2014 at 8:50 a.m. PDT.  I was always advised to give Mercury Rx or Mercury Direct at least 3 days to either actually appear to go backwards, or 3 days to allow Mercury to begin to appear to go forwards.  Many astrologers include Mercury Retrograde shadow of 2 weeks prior to retrograde and 2 weeks after Mercury turns direct.  From my experience, there are occasional incidents that happen during the shadow period attributed to Mercury retrograde and direct – but most of what could be crazy-making, actually happens during the time of retrograde. It is an interesting exercise to keep a log beginning now as we enter Mercury Retrograde Shadow and to maintain the log through the 4th of July weekend when Mercury turns direct.  You might really get a laugh out of this log if you also include your friend’s experiences during this time.  For instance, they may tell you their car broke down, their computer died, they lost their smart-phone – or anything to do with electronics, communication, or travel. You never find something you have lost until you replace it.  Then, it will immediately reappear. It will be fun to look back at the snafus, the miscommunication, and all the Murphy’s Law (Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong) that Mercury Retrograde brings.  But if you also enter all the good things that occurred during Mercury Retrograde, you will be grateful there is this time for doing specific activities.  You will be amazed that you found something you have been looking for, or discover lost money. The trip you were ill-advised to take during Mercury Retrograde ends up being the adventure of your life – that is, if you are not attached to a specific itinerary or time-schedule. But what does this have to do with transformation or empowerment?  Absolutely Everything! As we grow in consciousness – we grow in awareness.  It is as though another part of us has awakened.  We now are cognizant of vibrations, light, sound, and energy.  We begin to use new tools such as astrology, numerology, the Tarot, crystals, natural healing remedies, body work such as massage, reflexology, chiropractic, or acupuncture. Because of the new tool of Astrology – we recognize that as all comedians know, “timing is everything”.  Using Astrology and the energy of planetary transits and progressions, you now realize when it is time to rest and recharge, when it is time to push and put yourself and your talents out there.
