Question: What I’ve been seeing is butterflies in fact on two days they flew right into my shoulder and face. But most unusual was waking up to see a deer laying down on my front lawn! We have lived here for 18 years and in this town for 25 years and have never seen a deer laying down no less on our front lawn. I took pics and she is pregnant!!! – Debra Bryan Wright: Your spirit is calm, nature knows and feels this is a safe place. Be blessed with their presence. They are a gift for you to enjoy. Kimberly Wilson Ward: Deer cycles in the autumn and the spring. Butterflies are a transformational animal. Be kind to yourself, the deer suggests as you move into autumns season you may very well be on the verge of a transformation. Janét Bowerman: Deer are #1 on the menu of many predators. They give their life in order for others to survive. The message of the deer can be to use less force. It is not the right time to confront the enemy and know when to walk away. Be alert to danger. Pay attention and look before you leap. Time for compassion and forgiveness. Learn to trust. Cultivate new friends and ideas. Try something new . Don’t be afraid to cry. Nurture yourself and take time to heal. Walk more or increase activity . Spend more time outdoors. Dance and be joyful. Cultivate your inner knowing. Perhaps it’s a good time to meditate and if you do already, perhaps a little more. Look deep within and address your major fears. Suzanne Grace: I have butterflies year round – I know them to be healing and a message from the angels (so I tattooed one on me haha) so enjoy them and know the angels are watching over you in a certain situation! Janét Bowerman: Butterfly spends the first part of its life crawling the earth, before metamorphosis leads it to spin a home for stasis (known as a cocoon). After transforming, Butterfly is reborn as various beautiful colored winged creatures of the air. This insect is extremely sensitive to the Harmony of Earth, and is the first creature to leave a damaged ecology. Butterfly’s graceful dancing-like appearance on flowers reminds us to find the joy in nature and make it a part of our life. Butterfly enters our life as a messenger for change. If it comes to us hurt or ill, Butterfly asks us to stop keeping our joy at bay. It may take some time being alone with ourselves to listen to Butterfly’s gentle requests that we allow the natural transformation of things in our lives. Question: Hi my name is Candice. I wanted to get some insight on birds being around me constantly it seems. They fly right in front of me while I’m standing, walking, even driving they come so close it feels like I could hit them but they fly right on by. One time I was in my car eating lunch and reading when a bird landed on my window which was rolled down, looked at me and flew off to a nearby tree in front of me. Even now just as I am writing this a bird is in front of me playing with some leaves under a tree then runs out into the sun, stands there for a bit and flies off to a nearby tree. Any thoughts on what this could all mean? Thank you I emailed Candice and asked her if she knew what kind of birds she had seen… here is her response: Hello, well let’s see at first it seems to be blue jays and robins. One time it was a Crane or a stork I found it odd because I never seen a bird like that around my area and it seemed to just appear. Today it was a crow talking very loudly across from where I was eating and the bird playing and running in front of me was a brown bird with brown and white spots almost golden in the sun. It could be nothing I just may take notice to them more than others was just curious. Thank you Bryan Wright: I feel that the instance when you were eating lunch was a month to month and a half ago. There was something going on where you should have been keeping your guard up….I don’t know what it was but it could have been life changing. The birds were there to warn and protect you. The last one playing lets me know you are ok and life moves on for you. Christa Lore Urban: Well each bird has a slightly different meaning this would be a huge reading. Kimberly Wilson Ward: I agree with Christa Lore Urban on each bird having its own qualities and meanings. However, since she is seeing so many birds I would look to the general nature of birds and what this might signify for her. Birds in general nest and spend a lot of time building their nest. What is she neglecting in her ‘building of her nest?” Does she need to focus more attention on her home or those that depend on her? Is she putting too much energy into things outside her home? These are the questions she should ask herself. Janét Bowerman: Since cranes are unusual and migratory birds.. I offer this in regard to their particular totem: Cranes have long been associated with royalty, balance, grace, and longevity. When a crane comes into your life as a spirit teacher or totem you are being asked to use your past as a source of strength in the present. Cranes appear in the lives of people who are well served by some degree of secrecy in their lives. The crane teaches keeping your own counsel, protection of family, and balance in life above all else. A crane totem is also a harbinger of long life and success. An encounter with a crane is a powerful experience. You are being asked to look inward, show fairness to all persons, and protect your wisdom while sharing it in appropriate ways. In short, you are being shown the way to balance and good fortune. Many Blessings Question: For the past several weeks I have had birds swoop down in front of my car, so very close that I apply the brakes to slow down. It happens at least two to three times a day. Another occurrence with birds was one day everywhere I went I saw grackles (those dark plain birds). No matter what street or town I was in, they were near me. I have been trying to connect more with my guides so I know this is a message for me! What are these birds trying to tell me? Thank you, Diane Kimberly Wilson Ward: Grackles deal with overcoming emotions and are generally a sign that the emotional body is becoming congested. Find ways to release emotions that do not serve you. As these emotions can lead to physical distress. Joyous Heart: Perhaps they just want you to slow down and get present with your feelings and thoughts… Janét Bowerman: Often times when we are to take notice of certain things going on within our lives we are presented with animal signs or “totems”. Especially when a specific animal or bird brings itself to get your attention it can mean that specific animal or bird has a message for you. A “grackle’s iridescent coloring reflects a need to look at your life a little differently. Situations are often not always what they seem to be, especially where emotions are concerned. Emotions that are not dealt with can “clog” our emotions even to the point of creating a physical congestion if you will. Look at your life and consider taking a new approach to the way you see it. Grackles are usually very happy birds finding joy in the smallest of things. Black is the color of the inner and the feminine and purple around the head indicates the emotions that color our thinking process. A grackle can remind us to take action and not to just rehash everything. To simply talk about it and not do anything to correct the problem. Perhaps for you, this could mean to take a look at what is stirring in you emotionally and come to terms with and accept your feelings. Many Blessings! Question: Well, the other day I was out in the yard watering my garden, and there was a red dragonfly resting on a stem. It stayed there for over an hour while I oomph photos of it, and moved the stem around I try and get a good shot. Very patient dragonfly. I definitely felt like it was a hello from the spirit world – can you tell me anything else? Thank you! Mai Bryan Wright: Dragonflies are deemed a prehistoric creature, of much larger mass then than now, they also have, if I remember correctly somewhere around 30,000 lenses for their eyes. I don’t feel there is much significance in their presence other than for you to realize and accept your own, be blessed Janét Bowerman: Dragonfly is the power of light. The dragonfly inhabits two realms – air and water and the influence of both these elements will be felt in dragonfly people. Dragonfly is the essence of change, the message of wisdom and enlightenment, and communication from the elemental world.. Dragonfly medicine beckons you to seek out the parts of your habits which need changing. Call on the dragonfly to guide you through the mists of illusion to the pathway of transformation. The number 2 is associated with the dragonfly so think of two-year periods when you begin a change. Many blessings! Kimberly Wilson Ward: Dragonflies actually are not a ‘color’ but their hard shells refract light similar to a rainbow. This dragonfly appeared red to you, which is also the color of the root chakra. Make sure you are staying well grounded, as this is also an insect representing change. The better grounded you are the better you will cope with change that is on the horizon. You stayed patient while photographing this dragonfly, use this same patience with yourself as the changes occur. Joyous Heart: I saw one flying around the other night in my garden all lit up and looking tinkerbell…it was so magical. Question: I have recently been bombarded by Blue Jays and I’m not quite sure why. Blue Jays are a bird known to live as far south as Florida. But I never recall seeing (or at least noticing) even one Blue Jay after spending nearly 3 years in Florida. One day 6 months ago my Mother mentioned she occasionally will see a Blue Jay in Florida, but not common. Starting a month or two later I started having Blue Jays fly right out and land in front of me during many walks, and now it is a very common sight for me to see. Even the other day while taking a walk in the woods I happened upon a Blue Jay and a Cardinal (never have I seen a Cardinal since I’ve been in FL either) seeking food on the ground while not being disturbed in the slightest by my presence only 2 feet away. It is possible they’ve always been there right in front of me but I never “saw” them until my Mother made a mention of them. But I can’t seem to shake the significance of them and that they are showing up now in my life for some particular reason. Any insight to what their message is would be greatly appreciated and very satisfying to my confusion! In Kind Thoughts, Cristen Bryan Wright: The rarity of the cardinal in your area is significant, blue jay are fairly common there. A rare creature in an uncommon setting leads me to believe someone from afar is trying to reach you, or needs to hear from you. The cardinal is a northern bird. Is there someone from up north, West Virginia that you should speak with? I don’t feel it is bad, but needed, A family friend, spirit, is trying to get you two talking. An after feeling…..the cardinal is the North Carolina state bird, maybe someone in NC? Janét Bowerman: When Blue jays are present – spirit is asking you to use your personal power properly. Often times a Blue jay animal totem means, you may have tremendous abilities and potential, but you must learn not to be scattered and neglect to develop your abilities to the fullest. Develop your gifts and you will have unlimited potential. Spirit is asking me to say “take time for yourself and meditate” “still your mind”. Many Blessings! Question: A few days ago I found a small brown bat hanging on the back of one of my patio chairs in the middle of a very hot day. Right after that I was in my swimming pool and heard something behind me and it was another bat that could not get back out of the water. I scooped it up and put it in the garden area and a little while later it was gone. Today I looked and sure enough the bat on the chair was still hanging upside down. I thought it was dead but after watching for a few minutes I saw it move. Not long after that I was working in my office and could see something splashing around in the pool. I went out and sure enough it was another bat. I fished that one out of the pool and put it in the garden area and now it is gone. I just wondered if you have any feelings about what this would mean? Thank you! Madeline Morrison Christa Lore Urban: Bats are symbolic for facing fears and signaling transitions. I also feel that since they use their bat radar and really can navigate well in the dark. Although this one made a bad judgment landing in your pool .The message is to tune to what is happening around you and don’t be afraid of the changes that are happening. Donna Putrino Cantone: Bats can be symbolic of intuition, dreams and of being highly sensitive. They may have entered your space to validate an awakening of yourself. Bryan Wright: Someone is trying to send you a message…..someone in your not so distant past had a water trauma that you should remember. I don’t feel that it was fateful, but very traumatic. A bump on the head, near drowning, but rescued, as you did for the bats. Someone from you past who has passed on is trying to let you know that they are there. Listen to the wind and ask questions… I don’t feel the bat itself is significant, but merely a channel the spirit has available to use. It got your attention, which is the first step your spirit was trying to achieve. He (and I feel it is a man) managed to get your attention in an unusual way. Meditate and open your mind to someone with similar traits. Bless you and I hope only the best for you. Janét Bowerman: A Bat totem appearing in your life is a call for the end of a way of life and the beginning of another. You must face your greatest fears and get rid of the part of your life that no longer is needed. This transition is very frightening for many: “better the devil you know…” But you will not grow spiritually until the old parts are gone. Face the darkness before you and you will find the light in rebirth. – Many Blessings! 🙂 Question: Sherry Baughman Frey: I see dragonflies when I am in my car, in parking lots or at red lights. They fly around my windshield and hover a bit. Would love to know their message! Thanks!! Janét Bowerman: Dragonfly is the power of light. Jeff Alicia Crowley Janét Bowerman: Butterfly spends the first part of its life crawling the earth, before metamorphosis leads it to spin a home for stasis (known as a cocoon). Hummingbird is a symbol for accomplishing that which seems impossible. It can teach you how to find the miracle of joyful living in your own life. Hummingbird medicine is herbal; it shows us how to use flowers for healing. They teach us how to draw life essence from flowers and create your own medicines. This totem reminds us to explore the past and extract the sweetness from it. It can help you find joy and sweetness in any situation. Grab joy as swiftly as you can. Hummingbird reminds us to find the joy in what we do and to sing it out. – Many Blessings!
