Canadian born Robbie Thomas began to speak at the age of three, and excelled quickly as a child.
By Gina Wedlake
“I had a fascinating childhood and at the age of three, I began to speak about angels.” Robbie also tells of a very special unseen friend named Carmichael he had as a child. In his first book, Link to Heaven, he writes about Carmichael and the role the relationship played in his life while he was young. As Robbie began to get older, about the age of 12, he mostly kept to himself. Robbie speaks highly of his mother, they were very close throughout his life. Robbie’s mother was intuitive and she knew of her son’s special ability at an early age. Robbie begins to tell the story of his mother’s passing which would affect him for the rest of his life. Robbie became intensely emotional during the conversation.
Robbie: I remember my mother passed away in 1994. I remember the night before like it was yesterday. I had woken up, and I was literally pinned to my bed. I had sleep paralysis and I was visited by the four horsemen. They wanted to show me what was going to happen the next day. Now looking back, I can see that. The next morning, I went over to my mom’s house. We usually had our toast and coffee. I walked in the kitchen to greet her, and it was weird because she didn’t greet me back. I began to tell her about the event that happened last night. I was compelled to tell her about it. Before I could finish, she turned around and told me to go home and that she would call me in a bit. I left because she had asked me to. Now, I am at home, and my dad is on the phone and he is screaming, ‘It’s your mother!’ I dropped the phone and ran over to the house. I remembered the EMT’s doing CPR on my mother. I can still see her little purple footies hanging over the side of the stretcher.
Robbie takes a deep breathe, he exhales and I can hear his breath shaking, he begins to hold back his tears, and I give him a moment. Tears began to roll slowly down my cheeks as he tells his story. I can feel his emotion as he relives the loss of his lifetime. I tell him to take his time, as he gathers his thoughts to continue the story.
Gina: Go ahead, take your time, when you are ready, you can continue.
R: Anyway, um…I was living what was shown to me. They take her to the hospital. Walking into the hospital, she tried to speak. I said, ‘Shhh, just a minute!’ She then whispered, ‘I love you.’ I remember, the EMT guy heard it too. Once inside the room, the hospital staff walked out and told me she had passed. I remember speaking to the priest. He told me she had talked to Jesus and she told the priest he had heard her.
Robbie begins to get emotional as he tells me the story.
G: Yes? Take your time Robbie. (Again I felt my warm tears fall on my hands as I typed on the keyboard, I waited to hear the rest of the story, but only when Robbie was ready. He paused for a few more seconds.)
R: Forgive me, it’s been a long time. Um, I isolated for days after that. I remember sitting at the picnic table and cussed God. But, it’s a lesson – the lesson is this: We are given angels in this life, the little bit you get out, the ones you love is a lifetime.’ I then knew that what I was going to do was to help people who needed it. She guides me, she is my angel. She helps me with my cases.
G: Does she come to you in dreams?
R: Yes, she does. I remember one dream she came to me. She was wearing all white with lots of shopping bags, she loved to shop. She grabbed my hands and told me, ‘It’s okay, you can let go now.’ So I did. She told me, ‘you know you’ve let go when you forget it, and it will be a good thing for you.’ Can you believe the next year I forgot the day she died? I didn’t go to the graveyard, and then I knew exactly what she meant. That is the purpose of this story.
G: Tell us about yourself Robbie, as an adult.
R: First and foremost, I am a husband, and father of three beautiful young ladies, and my world is this. I love my life and wouldn’t trade it for anything!
I am a prolific author/writer, and I have 8 books I have written over the past 10 years. I have co-contributed to 4 other books. I also have written for various articles/magazines. I have done some stage plays, 1 of which has turned into a development for a new TV series that I am currently the host and creator of, which is a psychic profiler. I have written The World’s Most Dangerous Hauntings. I have also written aspects into the script-line of movies, where I have worked with Director Mark Tillman who did the movie “It” with Stephen King. He is the casting director of Robocop, and MacGyver, all those fantastic programs you’ve seen on TV over the past decades. We are in the collaboration stage of 1 book of mine called Time Shift, but we will get into that later. There is the writing aspect of Robbie Thomas.
Now, getting into the Psychic Medium/Criminal Profiler portion of my life, I have been doing that for 25 years. I have been on the front lines of cases. What I mean is that I have had guns pointed at my head, I’ve sat with murderers and gotten confessions from them, I’ve seen the crime scenes, the bodies, and I have worked high profile cases internationally. I don’t know, I am me; I am just me, a normal guy.
G: Wow, I am blown away! I don’t know where to start Robbie! Tell me when you got started into Criminal Profiling?
R: When I was 17, I wanted to become a police officer. I went and took the exam and I passed the test. I knew the inspectors on the force, the mayor. They said I just needed to come in and take the test. I was welcomed to the force, then the Chief of Police looks at the paperwork. He then looked up with a disappointed face and tells me that I am too young. He said that I needed to come back in a few years, so I did. Again, I passed the exam. I remember going home, and celebrating. I heard a lady screaming loudly, it was midday. I quickly hopped over the fence. She is pointing and telling me, there was a man who died in her home. As I made it to the bathroom door, I was literally shoved in the door, it was shut. They said the word accident, I entered the bathroom, and I was looking for blood and there was no blood. This was no accident! I began CPR and the man shouted at me, ‘let me go.’ I backed off and then I began to do it again. Then again he said, ‘Let me go.’ I stopped again. My father then comes thru the balcony door and asks what has happened. I turned my head and just said, ‘no.’ well then everyone went crazy after they heard me say the word no and thought, ‘that’s it, he’s dead.’ I’m then told that I am not supposed to announce that he was dead until the coroner had made that determination. Which I didn’t say that he was dead, I just said the word no. Gina, there’s a little bit of stuff that went on there with that, but that’s another story.
I then decided to write a formal quit letter, I didn’t want to be a cop anymore. I remember they were actively making a documentary about cops who quit under duress. They wanted to know why I quit. They came to my house and sent film crew. The captain and sergeant came into my house, and they sat in my living room. They were filming a documentary called ‘Police Officers, EMT’s and Firemen Who Quit under Duress.’ Here I am, a 21 year old young man. I wasn’t stressed. I just knew my line of work and line of life. I knew it was going to take me down a different road, assisting and helping in this field. They asked me what had happened, I said, ‘I just know he spoke to me, [yet]he was dead.’ You should have seen the looks on their faces!
About a year later, I was working as a contractor doing painting, [I wasn’t yet working as a profiler], and then something happened. I am in the parking lot. I was talking to Greg, a friend of mine who was the manager of an apartment complex. We were just chatting, and right behind him walks a creepy guy. I couldn’t stop staring at him. I saw a black shroud around him, which means bad. I felt a field of energy that was bad. I couldn’t stop starring. As I watched him, Greg says, ‘That is Jessie; do you want to meet him?” I did want to meet him. I was curious, I wanted to know why I am having these feelings about him.
We started toward Jessie’s apartment. As I entered the apartment, I saw a pregnant female slowly puffing on a cigarette. It appeared she was due at any time. As I walked in, Jessie was arrogantly cussing at his girlfriend. I felt the stench of badness come off his body as I walked deeper into the apartment.
We walked into the apartment and we are introduced. Greg and Jessie begin to chat and then I begin to ask him questions. I am curious as to what is so bad about this person. I was firing questions at him. I wanted to know why I was getting these feelings. His girlfriend starts to get nervous and begins to pace back and forth. He then stands up and walks over to me. He walks over to me and demands, ‘STAND UP! Are you f***ing hot?’ He lifts my shirt. He then begins to pat me down, up and down my groin.
Gina, he was looking for a wire! He pushes me down into the chair. Now picture this, here is a 5 foot nothing man, a sawed off version of Eddie Van Halen! I am not kidding, a clone! Jessie then looks at me and says, ‘You want to know? Me and Thomas Cook were ripping off car stereos from the gas station.’ Jessie begins to get cocky, ‘Thomas took out the gun. You should have seen him, (he snickers) he was hoping like a rabbit! We were popping him off. He looks at me and says, ‘You want to stand up again?’ I am floored at how he is telling me this information! He looks at me, he grabs me and he says,’ I want you to leave and if you tell anybody, I will kill you!’ He then slammed the door.
Well, you know me; I wasn’t scared because I had studied to be a cop. I went home and called the guys on the force. They told me that I had to go back and befriend him, and get the information; they wanted me to wear a wire. I refused because I knew if I went back I might not make it out alive. They told me that they were in court right now with this guy and that he and Cooke were being charged for the murder of this boy named Mark who was working there part time in high school. I said, ‘Are you kidding me? I am not going back there, he almost killed me.’ I didn’t go back.
G: What happened then? Did they get charged?
R: No, I don’t think they did, they got off. Jessie had an alibi, I believe. But get this, I later found out that Thomas Cook had killed his girlfriend by using Saran plastic wrap to smother her. He is in prison today for her death, and there is the story of Robbie Thomas and his start in wanting to go after these demons!
G: Wow! How many cases have you done now?
R: You know, we used to tally them up! If we go back a few years, it’s up to 100 cases. It’s up there.
G: Tell us about a case that stands out to you?
R: Yes, I was contacted by Private Detective, Frances Etienne about the missing 4 year old, little Caesar Aquilar-Cano Case, on June 30th 2007. They said he had wandered away from his home and had not returned. I began to communicate with him. I drew a diagram with a picture of the man who had him, and the name ‘Cecil’ above it. I had an arrow pointing to the man’s picture. I also had put 4 round circles that had ‘stadium’. I wrote under it and said that it was not far away from the boy’s home. I had explained that these were lights. The sort of lights that would be seen at a stadium, but that they were out.
I remember the description of the man and the details. For one, he picked at his nose a lot. He also smoked and his shoes were untied. He had on a muscle shirt and gray or white track pants. I could see that Caesar was locked in a tiny room. I also felt that this man had pictures of other little boys. I also had John and Juan written down and the number 1478. The John meant ‘Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium’ (there are stadium lights there.) I wrote down that I saw men in safety vest, orange and yellow stripes. I sent the information to Detective Etienne along with the diagrams. Etienne then contacted the Detective in charge of his case, James Bland, by phone and passed on the information. Etienne emailed it to him immediately with my contact number. After 2 hours, Etienne contacted me to see if he had called and I said he had not. He immediately emailed the info to John Boel, the lead news man at WLKY-TV 32 news channel here in Louisville. Etienne tried to find the number to contact Christopher 2x, the community activist in Louisville.
On Saturday, July 7th they announced that a small boy’s body had been found by garbage men as they were getting ready to compact their truck. The whole community knew that this was little Caesar, and on Monday July 9th the coroner confirmed that this was his body.
Police brought in the cadaver dogs and they followed the scent to a (first clue) man’s house right behind where Caesar lived. The home was that of a man named ‘CECIL’ (second clue). His home is in eye view of Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium (third clue). The man’s middle name is Eugene in Spanish it is pronounced Juan (4th clue). Caesar was found right behind where he lived (5th clue).
On the day Caesar came up missing, the police and searchers went door to door asking people if they had seen him. One of the people they asked was Cecil. He said he had seen him pulling up LG&E utility flags in his yard and he told him to stop and go home (6th clue, safety vest of workers who were putting down flags). Cecil is a convicted child molester who had served time for molesting nine and ten year old boys (7th clue). I also emailed Mr. Bland and John Boel, the Kentucky sex offenders’ online page and told them to look at it.
On Monday, Etienne left a message on Mr. Boel’s’ voice mail asking him for Mr. 2x’s phone number. He finally called back and left a voice mail with his number. Mr. 2x was really moved with all I had come up with. He said those were the best leads that the police have ever received. He was going to contact the Chief of Police and the detective in charge of the case to find out why they never followed my leads. The next day Etienne contacted him, and he told Etienne that the police said they had followed ‘all’ the leads they had gotten, and that they made an announcement that night on the news that they has followed ‘all’ the leads. They waited until he was found dead, then followed the clues and went to Cecil’s home and gathered evidence. Mr. 2x said on July 16th that they had told him that they had followed my clues.
G: Wow! What a story! What did Detective Etienne have to say about it all?
R: He sent me an email and it said: “Robbie your gift is one that cannot be topped, you came here for the Bardstown fire, and then spent time trying to help find little Caesar. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. May God always bless you in everything you do!” Signed, Frances Etienne, Private Investigator; Louisville, Kentucky.
G: Your book, Time Shift, we said we would talk more about it? Did you make some predictions that have actually happened?
R: Time Shift the Paradigm, in the inception, was an actual movie script. So, I am writing this movie script, talking to the producers. Remember, I mentioned the producer, Mark Tillman? I spoke to his friend, Don Hutchison of Lift-Off Productions. He and I are working together and I was writing a script for him. I find myself writing chaotic, you know, catastrophe throughout the world, it is like a vision!
You know, usually when you write a script you will have a rewrite. It is just flowing and there was no rewrite. I knew what was seen, I knew what was coming to me was real. I thought to myself, ‘this is really going to happen?’ I remember going on Facebook and writing ‘Panic’ as one of the titles. This was March 2, 2011. I would sit and write a little and then go back throughout the week and write more. I explain what’s going to happen on March 10th. I then remember speaking to Don about what I wanted to put in the movie script, you know, I wanted to put 9.0 Japan earthquake, a huge Tsunami with a large wall of water, and I pose it to him. Oh Man, he was loving it! So then, I posted again, March 10th about Peru and that chaos and the last posting of the evening I said, ‘I predict for everyone, it’s how you accept how it’s going happen. Just like it is predicted and how I had said, in a public forum. I am stunned, my family is stunned, my phone is ringing off the hook, we are watching the news, the producers are calling and then Don calls me and says ‘Oh my god they changed it to a 9.0, just like you said!’ I then stopped writing the movie. I sat for a week and thought about it, and began writing my book to pay homage to the victims. Don wrote a validated letter and it is in the book, too, about what had happened while writing this script. That is the very 6 that have come true. That is a living history, it is blowing people away, myself included!
