Happy Chinese New Year! This year it begins on February 8th and we will enter the Year of the Fire Monkey.
The mantra for this year is “everything is possible!” The energy of this year will be fast-paced, creative, innovative and daring. If you were wishing for a life change, this year will bring a quantum leap! If you think it can be done, it will be done! This year promises great positive changes in all areas of life.
The Monkey is a symbol of naughtiness, openness, curiosity, intelligence, wittiness and playfulness. Adding Fire energy to these attributes will intensify the traits. The Monkey is also known as a trickster. If something is too good to be true, due diligence is needed. Check everything twice and don’t be fooled. This is a year of action and opportunity especially for improvement in finances, career, relationships and business goals.
The Year of the Fire Monkey is said to be chock-full of happy events. I believe 2016 will be a great year too. Be mindful while you’re stepping out, being bold and daring to be different to be successful. You just might have to outmaneuver the Monkey to do it!
You are a Monkey if you were born in these years: 1920, 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004, and 2016. The next Fire Monkey year will be 2028. People born in a Year of the Monkey have magnetic personalities but can be mischievous and crafty. They like to play and pull pranks on others which may hurt feelings, although their intention is not to harm or hurt. They are ambitious, adventurous but can be easily bored. This can make it difficult to settle down with a romantic partner. Once they do settle on a career, they work very hard. Monkeys love outdoor activities so they need to be careful of being injured.
Chinese New Year: this is also known as the Spring Festival in China. It is the longest public holiday beginning on February 7th and ending on February 13th. This is a time for family gatherings, honoring ancestors and celebrating the New Year. There are dragon dances, fireworks, red decorations everywhere and special foods for good luck. It is also the busiest travel season in China with 1.3 billon people visiting family and friends.
Valentine’s Day Feng Shui: Valentine’s Day is February 14th. One of my top Feng Shui questions is “how can I attract a partner?” My response is always to begin with loving yourself! When you’re healthy and happy with who you are, you naturally attract happy and loving people. Open your heart to love and your energy will soar!
Symbols of love should be everywhere in your home. Vases of flowers, sensual soft throws and pillows, candles, artwork depicting couples, statues of loving couples, etc. Once your home is ready for love, then concentrate on the Relationship area at the far right corner of your home. This is the same space in the bedroom. Remove all clutter including closets and drawers, and clean thoroughly. Your intention is to make space for a romantic partner to come into your life. If you already have a partner and want to spice things up, you can use the same Feng Shui tips!
- Remove computer, TV, desk & exercise equipment to concentrate on love
- Remove negative artwork, “single” items & pictures of your kids & others from the bedroom. It’s your space
- A good color for the bedroom walls is skin-tone
- Remove your pet’s from the bedroom
- If you have only one end table, add another for balance. It doesn’t have to match
- Make sure the bedroom décor is gender-neutral
- Add a vase of pink/red peonies or peach blossoms – the flowers of love in China. They’re sold in Asian markets. Place them in a vase on a table or dresser & add two pink heart-shaped crystals
- Add a framed wedding photo of just you and your partner or from a special event
- Add two pink candles, two romantic statues, two lamps, etc, to represent the ‘two’ of you
- If you are divorced or separated buy a new mattress for positive energy
- Red silky bed linens will add spice to your romance
- A wooden headboard will add stability to your relationship
We see a lot of Cupid at this time of year but he is not an angel! The collective group of Romance Angels can assist you in finding new love or deepening your marriage or partnership. Angels love us and want us to be happy and in love. Call on them or the following angels for love guidance. Remember to do your part too! Be loving, be happy, be open and be excited!
- Archangel Michael – provides guidance & protection to keep you safe in a healthy relationship
- Archangel Jophiel – the ‘Feng Shui angel.’ She beautifies our thoughts, keeps them positive & encourages us to keep a clean & happy home
- Archangel Chamuel – provides confidence & courage to find a romantic partner
- Archangel Haniel – brings love to a new romance, ensures happiness and harmony & helps with loving communication
- Archangel Raphael – he heals broken hearts, releases past hurts and encourages us to open our hearts to new love
