Meet the ladies behind this amazing Spiritual Network that is taking the Spiritual Community by storm!
My name is Julie Simpson. I am a Spirit Medium, Teacher and Counselor. My faith is Spiritualism. It is a way of life for me, my life’s work. For me, Spiritualism is not for ‘entertainment only.’ I am a professional and honour my work as such.
Spiritualism first began as a movement in the 1840s to share our natural abilities and the knowledge obtained through Spirit, enabling us to learn and understand that we are all Spirit and life continues beyond the physical existence. I am continuing that movement and putting the spirit back into Spiritualism. My desire is for Spiritualism to be recognized as a faith, a way of life and very real in today’s society.
I am originally from the UK but now reside in New Zealand with my Life Partner. I started working with Spirit in my late teens, having been brought up with spirit stories instead of nursery rhymes as bedtime stories.
Later I started developing in Durham Church with my Mentor, the late Ada Hepple. I found my connection to helping Spirit pass on as proof and evidence of eternal development and existence.
In 2002, my son Colin inspired me to open an online community, Spiritualists Open Circle, which later became known as The Spiritualists Online Network and Lyceum. With members spanning the globe from every walk of life, religious faith and abilities, our three basic goals are openness, honesty and respect.
Affectionately known by its over 3000 members as SOC, or The Circle, our site has become a teaching arena open to all who wish to explore, develop, learn, or are just simply curious about our way of life and the philosophy and history of our foundation.
Over the years our staff has grown providing courses and workshops for those interested in expanding their knowledge and abilities earning a SOC Certificate or Diploma.

I am so pleased to be joined by my co-owners Tracy Cooper of Victoria, AU and Jody Morrison of New Mexico. These ladies, along with a staff of teachers and moderators freely offer their time and energy to help keep our site and Radio Network going 24/7.
Tracy Cooper – Medium and Healer: l have been a member of SOC since 2002. At the time, I didn’t know much about spiritualism, mediumship, personal development etc. until I found spiritualistsonline.com. I thought this type of work could only be done in person, but through their courses, I learned that it all comes down to energy, everything is energy; Spiritual Energy. I am able to do this work online, by phone, and in person.
Being invited by Julie to become a co-owner after being with SOC for 15 years was quite an honour. I do this in memory of those who helped me to develop my own abilities.
Jody Morrison – Medium and Teacher: Trying to sum up my work would be a daunting task as all that I am and all that I do is shaped by my relationship with spirit, developed and honed by experience and learning. I am a spiritualist and a medium, psychic, healer, etc., but most of all I am a teacher, glorying in assisting others to a greater understanding of themselves as “spiritual beings having a physical experience.”
When I was invited to join SOC, I found everything that I felt was missing; amazing teachers and a wonderful community based on openness, honesty, and respect for all paths. I felt instantly ‘at home.’
I am currently a co-owner at SOC and teach a variety of sessions, classes and courses ranging from dream work and meditation to working with guides and personal/psychic/spiritual development, and loving every minute of it!!!
Julie here, I would like to share a poem that I wrote many years back that is still true today about “The Circle.”
The Circle
Alone I sat seeking Loves Inspiration
I searched abroad for some Spiritual chat,
Found naught but fighting and aggravation
So perplexed and sad, I put on my thinking hat.
A voice from behind (my son) said ‘you start it!’
And so was born the Spiritualist’s open circle
would any say hi or even come to visit?
then came one, then four, we’d past the 1st hurdle
As Visitors returned, enjoying the company,
soon came those we have loved and lost,
giving messages from beyond, surprising even me
Guides, and Angles, the Spirits linked Present with Past
How is this done? Can anyone try, some asked
Others gave help and counselling, and their love
teaching and guidance, lessons to last,
Poetry and meditation, philosophy,
all sent form above,
The days turned to weeks, to months and now it’s a year, (15 years)
visitors became members to friends and more
All colours, creeds, faiths and beliefs join us here
