All Aces are new beginnings. The Ace of pentacles is a new chapter in life financially; a better way of living and slightly higher standards. This could indicate a pay raise, a new jo,b and even a new house – having gone up the property ladder slightly. More comfort, cash gains – an all round fabulous card to see in your reading. The 2 of Pentacles shows a picture of our man with his head in his hands at a cash point. We have all been there – when there isn’t enough money in the account. Remember all two’s are choices and decisions that need to be made, so this one says – deal with the problem, don’t shy away from the reality of being broke and sort the finances out now. If you bury your head in the sand like an ostrich, the problem will only get far worse. The 3 of pentacles is the tradesman card for me. We can see in the picture a man working hard. He is an apprentice, a junior, starting at the bottom of the career ladder and having to prove his worth to his boss and to the public. He is paying attention to detail and making sure his work is the best he can possibly achieve. This is also indicating DIY or home improvements needing to be done to a home. I have often picked up electrical or plumbing problems with this card.
The 4 of Pentacles is quite simply telling us to save. Put the money away, look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves. You will be needing the money at a later date. This card also warns me of someone hiding money – especially when I am reading for someone going through a divorce battle, so a misery person can be predicted.
The 5 of Pentacles is a very karmic card. This means that if you have ripped someone off, just you wait for it to hit you back. The picture shows us a man turning out his pockets to reveal nothing. He is penniless. It says that an idea you have will not work out very well. Reconsider your options quickly.
The 6 of Pentacles – I just love this card. It is very magical and known as the money-giver card in the deck. It really does bring money to you. (a tip – if you desperately need some income put this card in your pocket for a day and watch the cash come ion miraculously)
It says you won’t have much change left over, but the right amount you need for a bill will be brought to you. In a business reading, this one tells me an idea will be financially successful.
The flip side of this card is that it says you will be paying out a lot of money – paying a lot of bills or lending money to friends or family.
The 7 of pentacles – here we see our lady sat in front of two piles of coins. She has to choose what to do with her money and the fact that she is counting coins and not notes, indicates that things are tight. This card tells us to persevere, work hard and not to give up as success is guaranteed after a long struggle. So slow growth money wise is a good way of remembering this card.
The 8 of Pentacles – This card is the promotion card! Success! You have been recognised and your hard work has paid off! It also means “Putting your talents into a new profession,” so a new job or career is indicated here. Finally people know how hard you have worked and you are being rewarded for all your efforts.
The 9 of Pentacles is known as the rich-bitch card. It’s the card of enjoyment and indicates the good life! At this stage in the suit of pentacles we have so very nearly made it – life is good and we have money left over at the end of the month for a few luxuries in life! Enjoy – you deserve it!
It is also the travel card – but nice fine travel – no camping here, but instead a 4 star hotel or a cruise even 🙂
The 10 of Pentacles! Woo Hoo! We have made it! The last card in the tarot deck! The picture is of a family home and by now, having completed the journey through the tarot -we should all realise that it’s not the house that matters, but who and what is inside it. This card means legacy, permanent financial security, and has a strong link to inheritance.
Plus, it indicates a new addition the family.
I hope this has explained the suit of Pentacles to you in an easy and simple way. Next month we will look at the same cards but focus on learning the health meanings.
