Ascension Tips
Are you feeling emotional, having aches and pains or just feeling off? These are just some of the many ascension symptoms. As we continue our ascension process, it is very important for us to remain balanced in mind, spirit, emotions and body. By remaining balanced, we can minimize and even avoid some of the myriad ascension symptoms.
Ascension symptoms include: headaches, aches and pains that tend to move from one place to another, feeling a lack of purpose, feeling vibrations in the body, emotional ups and downs, anxiety, waking at night, feeling light-headed or not totally connected to the body, changing food choices, unexplainable fatigue, feeling pushed to go in new directions, no interest in things that aren’t vibrating at the same level you are and more.
There is no way to step out of this ascension cycle, nor should we want to because there are many exciting changes for humanity that go along with this cycle. The energy continues to change, to become more rarefied or less dense as we continue to get hit with energy from coronal mass ejections from the sun and as the earth continues to shift and raise her vibration. These changes directly impact us. At this point many of us know this and have begun to make changes in some aspect of our lives. But, it is important to be changing in all four major areas or the changes we are attempting to make could actually make us more imbalanced.
Most of us have one or more areas that need attention. We like to spend time in one area, but neglect another. An athlete may be taking great care of his body, but may still experiences symptoms because he has not cultivated the spiritual, or has not gotten control over his negative thoughts.
On the other hand, as people began to experience the more psychic-like phenomena that come along with the changing energies, many dive head first into everything spiritual, neglecting the body or minimizing the importance of right thought. As I focused on meditation and other spiritual practices years ago, a mentor cautioned me, “There will come a time when the body can’t hold the vibration your spiritual practice is cultivating. You must raise the body as well.”
The good news is that growth in one area will often spill over into another area, but the changes in the other areas may not be great enough. Look closely at the following areas and see where you may need to refocus your time and energies.
Mind
Are your thoughts positive or negative? Watch your thoughts (and your words) for a day. Don’t judge them as right or wrong, simply look at whether they tend to be positive and uplifting or negative and draining. Don’t attempt to justify them by saying things like: “It’s okay to call him an idiot because he is an idiot!” There must be another attribute you can focus on instead. He may or may not be an idiot, but that’s not really what’s important to your health and well-being. What’s more important is keeping your vibration high with positive thoughts. Practice monitoring each thought and changing the negative ones.
Always look for something good in each situation. We all have “difficult” situations in our lives. Set the intention to find some good in everything. There is an area of psychology called benefit finding. This is the ability to find good in a trauma, illness or other negative experience. When I worked in brain trauma rehabilitation, we knew that if we could get the client to focus on something—anything—positive related to their injuries, then they would have a better outcome.
We all probably know a spiritual teacher, healer or psychic who can be nasty and abrupt. There is an imbalance there in the mind, or possibly in the emotions.
Spirit
This area involves cultivating your relationship and connection with the Divine (Source, God, etc.). There are many paths and many practices. Many religions also had a mystical branch which sought for a direct relationship with God that did not involve going through a church or temple. Those paths are worth checking out if you are not pulled to the formal religious path. Your practice might include: meditating, praying, connecting with nature, communing with Angels, or conducting ceremonies or rituals. Reading spiritual texts can open mind and spirit as new insights are revealed.
Crystals, essential oils and energy work can also develop the spiritual side, depending on how they are used. For example, one can simply place a crystal on oneself for a physical healing, or one can do the same thing, but first connect with the deva of the stone, receive intuitive messages from the stone, and fully immerse themselves in the energies. One can simply put their hands on someone in a Reiki session, or one can do so while at the same time connecting with a place of deep love and compassion within themselves and also with the Angels involved in the healing.
Emotions
Just as we can learn to change our thoughts, we can learn to interrupt dysfunctional emotional patterns. Watch your emotions over the course of a week. Do they tend to be positive and uplifting, or negative and low vibrational? Start watching the more negative ones. Why do they arise? Don’t react to the emotion, just try to understand the reason for it.
One of the meditations in The Course in Miracles is on the idea that we are never upset for the reason we think. We love to have reasons for things. So if I feel mad, I think it must be at you because you are here with me. That may or may not be true. It’s important to go underneath that layer and see if there is something more. For example: You are mad at your boss because he criticized you. You pause and question whether that is really true and realize that you are upset because you are afraid you will fail at work. Questioning even further, you recognize that you are really afraid that you will disappoint your overly critical mother. That is the place where you really need to work—healing those feelings that arose from your relationship with your mother.
In other instances, when you allow yourself to stop and question your emotions, you may find that there seems to be no reason for the upset. It is simply arising because of the environmental energy that day. Just let the energy run through you without attaching any thoughts to them. The thoughts would likely just serve to keep the emotion around.
In another instance, you may feel badly because of a “legitimate” reason. Perhaps someone died and you are sad. Feel it fully and let it run through. Be aware of your body and attempt not to tighten and hold it in. Emotions need to flow like water. Again, watch your thoughts and be ready to challenge them. Just as thoughts can trigger emotions, emotions can trigger thoughts. It’s important to determine whether these thoughts are really true.
Body
Evaluate the focus you place on taking care of the body. Make sure you get exercise. Some types of exercise, like yoga and qi gong, actually work on the body and the mind and spirit.
Eat right for you. Change your thinking to eating as fuel for your body. Figure out how much you need to eat. Most of us have been taught to eat everything on our plates because we were being wasteful if we didn’t. We are actually being equally wasteful if we eat too much because it was only going to be stored as fat and will not benefit us (and, of course, could hurt us). I was one of those kids who was taught to finish everything on my plate (and I like food!), so I am trying to remind myself of this idea regularly.
Drink high ph, non-fluoridated water. Fluoridated water is known to calcify the pineal gland. The gland, when working properly, secretes a substance called DMT, also known as the Spirit Molecule. DMT is believed to be responsible for enabling us to have deep connections and experiences with Spirit, and for allowing us to step into our full potential as humans. This calcification can be reversed through physical and spiritual practices. Fluoride can be pulled from the body in several ways (I’ll leave you to do your own internet search). It also helps to stop using toothpaste with fluoride in it.
Take some time to evaluate all four of these areas for yourself and figure out where you need to focus more. Staying in balance will help you to minimize the impact of the ascension symptoms and allow you to feel the best that you can during this wonderful time in human evolution.
