Harvest time is upon us, this can mean many different things in your life. You can harvest your thoughts and renew them, you can harvest your life and bring it back to mean something new. You can also renew and harvest your feelings about how you want an overall Spiritual relationship with yourself and others. Harvest in nature is the bringing of the fruit we planted in the group to others. Sharing what we worked hard for throughout the spring and summer to come to pass. But in those words we can also harvest ourselves and make us anew. Wonderful beautiful fall colors of harvest time, the gold, brown, yellow, and reds, such a wonder that Mother Nature and God have given to us. Maybe it’s also time to harvest the ego, to bring yourself back to Earth and realize that we need to let the ego go. In doing so, we are giving back to where we’ve come from. Ego has no part in the Spiritual Harvest of the soul. Our letting go brings love and harmony back into our lives. When I think of harvest, my mind goes back to when I was a young girl in the Midwest. I saw the beauty in what God had given to us; the colors of the wheat, the beautiful golden in the fields for miles, the luster of the trees as they were changing colors, farmers in the field harvesting the crops for our bountiful meals. Think about what Harvest means to you. What can you do to bring such beautiful things into your life? It doesn’t have to be just one thing, but many different things. The new harvest can also be in your heart and the way you treat people. By starting a new routine in life and thinking of others, not only yourself, life can be so much richer. Maybe give to others in such a way that you had never thought of before. Volunteering at a soup kitchen to help the homeless, or even reading to young children. So much can be done to help others if you’re ready to let go of the ego and give to others. Right now, the Universe is asking us to help others and look out after the Earth because, if we don’t, it will be gone and there will be no more land to harvest. Start by harvesting and changing your thought patterns. Maybe go down to a pond and watch the ducks swimming around and feel what nature has to give to us. Nature is all around, take it in and breathe the fresh air because, if we don’t do something soon, even that will be gone. Do we really want to lose this like some countries in the world already have? Harvest time is also in our minds this time of year to give thanks for what we have, and also the giving of food to others like our ancestors have done. I also remember as a young child for Thanksgiving, sitting down at the table with my family and giving thanks for all we had, and what we didn’t have. That’s the most important thing. This year I have been doing a lot of harvesting of my own life, taking out what no longer serves me and bringing in a new harvest of life and Spiritual love and happiness. The harvest time of year, when nature is releasing its bounty and beginning its winter slumber, is a great time to do anything that begins with RE: rethink your life, redo what needs to be reviewed or redone. It’s not actually a time to be scared about things that can go wrong, rethink it and do things over, start over and go from there. Thank you and many blessings in this month of Harvest Time.
