Enhancing Your Power Snuggling beneath your cozy duvet you start to think of the following day. It’s an important one which you must be ready for. Gradually the relaxation you were enjoying turns to anxiety. What if you don’t wake on time? What if you’re too late to attend that life changing meeting at work? So much depends on it! Getting out of bed you grab a pen and a piece of paper. In bold letters you write ‘MUST WAKE UP AT 6AM.’ Folding the paper in half you slip it under your pillow and fall into a deep sleep. You have placed an order to your subconscious mind. Have you ever thought of yourself as a magician? Just as a magic act produces a rabbit from beneath the brim of a top hat, so too your subconscious mind holds many surprises. It understands the past, the present and the future. It is responsible for your heartbeat, breathing and many bodily functions. Your conscious mind governs how you think and speak. It’s the subconscious mind that brings out the magician in you and helps to change your life for the better. It responds to your commands so be aware of what you are telling it. It takes notice of what you have said, felt and done. It never rests and tirelessly keeps your body functioning. It has incredible possibilities and power. Yogis can strip naked and sit for hours in freezing conditions without feeling cold or unwell. Fire walkers write their wishes onto pieces of paper which they burn before walking barefoot across hot coals. Actors finding it hard to learn their lines put them under their pillows at night and wake able to remember every word! Always make your commands emphatic and powerful. If you are facing a problem, ask your subconscious mind for a solution. In time, ideas and plans will start to formulate. Always pay attention to ‘hunches’ as these are your subconscious mind’s way of warning you of danger. By meditating on a daily basis you will find a clear connection to your subconscious mind. Try to cultivate quiet in this very noisy world. If you can frequently sit in stillness and silence, solutions to problems are much easier to find. Noise saps your energy and can be exhausting. Try increasing this practice daily until you can maintain one hour of stillness. By controlling your thoughts you can bring more love into your life. Love makes you emanate positivity.
