Would this computer still serve you well today?
Or would it need a serious clear-out to free up its hard drive?
And some new updated programmes, downloads and applications?
Our minds are computers
As humans, our minds and bodies are amazing machines that operate very much like supercomputers. Our beliefs and feelings form the programmes that allow us to experience our life a certain way, impacting the choices we make and the experiences that we have. For example someone with a programme of “I am lovable and successful” will have a very different life experience to someone with a programme of “I’m not good enough.” One attracting positive people and opportunities into their life, while the other experiences possible disappointments in life, work and relationships.
Old Programmes
Some programmes are self-created through repeated thoughts and experiences, however many are handed down through parents, society, culture, genetics, ancestors, childhood and even from past lives. In fact, even during our first few years of life we are very much like a sponge, taking on many beliefs belonging to others as our own programmes.
We then take these forward into our own life. These limiting beliefs or programmes are stored at the subconscious and become self-fulfilling prophecies until we realise we have a choice; we can change them.
We also learn our own definition of everything and store this in our computer as truth, which creates repeat life patterns as we have literally programmed our self with that definition as reality. But, many times our definitions are not the highest definition. For example, if I asked a room of twenty people what is love? They may all have a similar theme, but they would have their own definition. Through our experience around others we form our definitions at a subconscious level. One person’s definition of love might be that love is safe and nurturing, or boring, while another’s definition is that love hurts or is violent or controlling.
What old programmes are you running?
Thinking of beliefs as programmes that run your computer at the deepest subconscious levels, what beliefs did you hear or take on when you were younger about money, work and life:
Money Life
Money doesn’t grow on trees You have to work hard for a living
We can’t afford it You can’t have everything
Like any computer, when there is a glitch in the system, such as love being experienced in a way that has left a limiting or negative definition, the computer will keep bringing up a pop up screen (a repeat experience) so that those false, negative feelings or limiting beliefs can be released, resolved and replaced with a new programme that supports health and happiness. These definitions can be changed or upgraded to the highest definition, which changes the programmes and therefore the life experiences.
You have a choice!
You don’t have to allow other people’s old programmes to run your life!
You can choose to change your beliefs to ones that support you in creating love,
fulfillment, wealth, success and happiness on all levels.
Empty the recycle bin on your computer and give yourself and upgrade
- Look at any areas of your life that are not as you would like them to be.
- Think about the sayings and beliefs that you were surrounded by about this subject.
- Become more aware of what you say repeatedly; really listen to what you say.
- Then stop yourself from saying that or thinking that.
- Ask yourself, what new belief might serve me better in creating what I want?
- Use affirmations or a treatment such as Theta Healing, hypnosis or NLP to change your beliefs at the subconscious level. Just an awareness of old programmes allows you to release them and replace them with new programmes that you CHOOSE.
That’s the beauty of your computer, you have a choice; you are in charge. You don’t have to stay stuck with the old programmes that your computer came with, you can change them all for ones that you CHOOSE, that allow greater happiness on all levels.
