I had a numerology reading from Michael John Fierro that knocked me off of my chair and gave me a new perspective on my life.

He did readings for people I know that were absolutely spot on so, I felt compelled to buy his book You Know Your Name… Look Up Your Numbers to delve into the numbers more deeply.
Michael John Fierro is a savvy businessman, a spiritual man, and an adventurer (it’s in his numbers) who probes beneath the surface and the obvious to find out how things work; to make sense of things. He is innovative, creative, intelligent, intuitive, and believes that courage is key to moving forward to live a full life.
It surprises people to learn that Michael was a chef in the restaurant business for 30 years. He owned the number one Italian restaurant, which was also one of the top ten restaurants in South Florida. He taught himself to cook and developed his own unique style.
“In my restaurant career, I did unheard of things that nobody else was doing. I was doing fusion cooking before it even had a name because I got bored. If I got bored, I knew that my patrons would be bored. I’d rearrange the dining room, learn new styles of cooking, and put out daily specials, untested but they never missed. Courage goes with creativity to do something differently. Without courage, you probably won’t do anything.”
Numerology is his passion.
As his biography states, “Self-knowing, self-understanding and personal empowerment are all gifts contained within the treasure chest that is your name and birth date. Numerology, like other metaphysical disciplines, is just beginning to be a part of our lexicon for spiritual growth, self-awareness and understanding. My goal is to bring this science to the mainstream in much the way that astrology has been accepted, while maintaining its integrity. Properly used, numerology can be an invaluable tool in the business world, education, and personal development.”
Michael was introduced to numerology in 1984 when his younger sister gave him an amazingly accurate reading. It further sparked his interest because it is numbers-based and he’s always had a good head for mathematics. Numerology is based on the name on the birth certificate and the date of birth; it is all about the numbers.
When Michael is interested in something, he does all he can to understand it in order to develop his skills and hone his expertise.
In the early ‘90’s he got into numerology in more depth. Hesitant at first, he did readings at a coffee house, hauling his laptop and printer with him and using a numerology software program to do the calculations. He had to build the confidence to do it on his own. Michael stated that he had to “get out of my own way.”
He wrote his book, YOU KNOW YOUR NAME… Look Up Your Numbers, in the late 90’s and it sat in his computer for ten years. His friends encouraged him to finish the book and his reply was always, “Yah, yah, yah, yah.” Then in December of 2008, he made his New Year’s resolution to finish the book by Valentine’s Day (February 14th). The book was completed two days later!
I asked Michael what made it possible to actually finish the book at that time; what was different from the previous years? He replied, “It’s about goal setting, making it real and making a commitment to myself and the book to get it done.”
Michael told me that he kept side-tracking himself (as we tend to do) with other businesses, including bottled water, another restaurant and a line of BBQ sauces that he developed and spent six years promoting and selling. He offered numerology as a sideline, yet for years he’d said, “If I had my druthers, if I could do anything, I’d do numerology full-time.”
When Michael finally decided to shut down his BBQ sauce business, he discovered that an artist friend, who’d created the labels for his sauces, was starting a publishing company. According to Michael, “The Universe kicked me in the seat of the pants and said, you’ve been saying that all along. Now we’re going to put you in a position where you have no excuses to NOT do it.”
Michael continued, “We’re adept at side-tracking ourselves, finding excuses, so I did what I’d tell any client to do and followed my own advice, really. I said yes and got out of my own way. It’s about taking the empty handed leap into the void, trusting yourself, the process, the Universe, and that the giant step you’re going to take will be rewarding.”
Michael’s commitment to himself and to numerology took “faith and belief in the self”.
He offered a wise and extremely critical piece of information for anyone who is holding back from the deep commitment required to bring passion to life, “Once you commit to yourself, be prepared to have people come up to you and question you and debate you and tell you how wrong you are making your decision because that’s the Universe’s way of testing your commitment to your own decision.”
Michael’s passion for numerology is based on several things. “I love working with numerology, I love working with people and being able to share what I know with others to provide guidance and wisdom in their life to help them get on the right track.”
It surprised me that, according to Michael, “90 of 100 people have heard of astrology but only 10% know of numerology.” One of Michael’s goals is to increase that percentage and empower people.
“The good thing about numerology is it’s relatively easy to learn. Not to denigrate my own ability or talent, or the time and effort I put in to develop it, but it’s not rocket science. If you follow my book step by step, in the end, you’ll have the comprehension to do your own chart, and once you have your own chart, you can see that out of this seemingly random collection of letters is your description, everything about you… it’s kind of a wake-up thing.”
Having heard him on numerous radio shows, it also surprised me that Michael is a shy, introverted person who isn’t normally comfortable speaking to people he doesn’t know, and yes, that’s in his numbers too. However, his skill and expertise with numerology, along with his intuition and deep self-awareness, means he can “break through that wall.”
Taking control of situations gives him an “invigorating energy, and it’s a vibrational thing. Some people are open and easy to have a conversation with. Some I’d avoid; there’s just nothing to have a conversation about. Many have thought that I’m psychic but although I’m deeply perceptive and very observant, I only share what the numbers show. I pay attention. Most of my close friends are females. I empathize with women. I don’t understand men either… the macho thing.” According to Michael, “people who know me, know me.” It’s in his chart… with a 7, he’ll reveal things when he chooses to do so and may never reveal everything.
He added, “I’m not the type of individual who’d indulge what I call the metaphysical co-dependent, the person who needs to consult someone every time they turn around so they can make the right decision, because if you keep doing that you’ll never learn to think for yourself, you’ll never learn to trust your own intuition and you do become very codependent.” Numerology assists people to have the confidence and courage to make their own decisions and trust themselves.
“If, through numerology, you can gain a better understanding of why you are the way you are, why you behave the way you do, why you approach things in a certain way, and why your fears are this, you’ve gone a long way to empowering yourself by turning this energy around.”
Michael brought up the painful life challenges that many experience and how numerology can help us to more deeply understand what we’ve judged as negative, harmful or shameful, to reevaluate our perspective and learn from it, and stop allowing them to hold us back.
”Your Soul chose your name and birth date before you got here because it knew who it needed to be and what it needed to do. If sexual abuse or addictions are in your chart, that means you asked for that to be there… rather than playing victim and blaming others for the woes in your life, if you can broaden your perspective enough to understand that you asked for it to be there, and what I did when I came along into your life and participated in your aberrant behavior was fulfilling my end of the agreement, then it becomes a whole different dynamic, from victimhood to empowerment.”
He continued, “People need the courage to live their own life… to put in the work. Fear is at the root of everything… disease, upset, everything. You must have a willingness to challenge yourself above and beyond. I’ve been somewhat of a skeptic but always had an interest in an alternative explanation – to take this world at face value – I don’t know how anyone goes through life thinking this is really what this is all about. I look at things with the big picture in mind and look for the reasons behind it. It has to make sense to me. I think for myself; if you don’t, it’d be like eating a mayonnaise sandwich every day for the rest of your life. I get bored easily. One of the things that drove my creativity was my boredom. I need to be engaged and interested in whatever I’m doing.”
Michael offered several simple tips to ensure that people maximize the power of numerology, including:
• When women divorce, take back your maiden name and your identity.
• Use numerology to know who you’re hiring.
• Use numerology in dating!
Michael added, “Numerology is simply the numbers 1-9. Your chart is a tool to use in your own life – for your own life and to better understand the people around you. You must want to do the work for yourself to empower yourself to live your own life!”
We can look forward to Michael’s next project, which is to take chapter 15 in the book and expand it into an e-book, Sex By the Numbers… Better Understand Your Own Sexuality and Your Partner. That certainly piques interest and will grow the number of people who’ve heard of numerology!
The adventurer that he is – he’s getting “antsy” and wants to get back on the road, to do a book/speaking tour. I do hope that Canada is included on that itinerary!
